Daland Swim School is a family-owned business, founded by Ingrid Daland who, after 15 years of teaching and coaching in Westlake Village, opened its doors in 1987. Since then the school has taught over 100,000 students to swim. We're looking for fun and energetic individuals to join our team!

Camp Directors plan, direct and supervise all facility camps.

Education/Experience: High school diploma or GED is required. Previous experience as a camp, program, and/or activity director is required. 

Certificates and Licenses: CPR/First Aid certification is required. We provide all needed training and offer the required certifications at our facility.

Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Plans, develops and executes multiple aquatics-based camps throughout the course of the year
• Develops activities and crafts for campers to enjoy
• Actively works to engage campers in assigned activities
• Continually teaches campers in-and-out of the water; offering consistent specific praise and encouragement.
• Evaluates staff members' performance and provide professional development training
• Build relationships with our local community, schools, and parents to promote word-of-mouth advertising and draw support to the program
• Ensures staff has all the equipment, tools, and resources they need to do their jobs effectively
• Monitors potential safety and health hazards and responds to emergencies when necessary
• Maintains child supervision and implementation of proper child protection protocols
• Keeps a clean, organized and safe facility at all times while handling parental concerns
