  • Ensure data collection and analysis to create the most compelling case for action and partner with agency leaders, staff and constituents to help determine the most optimal pathway for change, including shifting the strategy when necessary

  • Manage relationships with community and public agency stakeholders in sites and represent the Casey Foundation’s values of authentic engagement with those with real-life experience in the child welfare system and addressing systemic inequities in public systems.
  • Be responsible for prioritizing and sequencing key levers of change in system reform and utilizing root cause analysis to help determine which levers will have equitable impact.

Requirements

Qualified candidates will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, public policy or a related field; master’s degree desired, or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Ability to apply policy research, as well as equity and inclusion strategies, in building enduring partnerships with youth and civic groups to pursue successful policy change that amplifies their voices and those of other populations who are marginalized. Demonstrated ability to lead efforts to build equity into solutions and organizations. Ability to work with people who have diverse perspectives and backgrounds to facilitate strong relationships and shared interests.

  • Develops many new and unique ideas; easily making connections between previously unrelated notions, someone who tends to be seen as original and adding value in brainstorming sessions and who challenges the status quo, takes risks, supports change and encourages innovation.
