Join The Baby Fold as our Development Officer or Major Gift/Planned Giving Officer!

Are you a seasoned fundraising professional eager to make a significant impact in a supportive and inclusive environment? Since 1902, The Baby Fold has been supporting children and families throughout Central Illinois. Today, we serve over 1,200 individuals annually through life-critical programs including foster care, adoption support, special education, autism programs, early childhood initiatives, crisis intervention, and more. We are hiring a Development Officer as well as a Major Gift and Planned Giving Officer! 

What You’ll Do:

You'll play a pivotal role in spearheading fundraising strategies that align with our mission and values. Collaborating closely with the VP of Development and Public Relations, you'll drive development initiatives, fostering relationships with individual, corporate, and foundation donors.

Both the Development Officer and Major Gift/Planned Giving Officer are full-time, salary/exempt positions based on-site in Normal, IL. 

Your Key Responsibilities:

    • Strategically manage, grow, and expand The Baby Fold's fundraising strategy.
    • Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward individual, corporate, and foundation donors; re-engage lapsed donors.
    • Develop and implement effective moves management strategies for current and prospective donors.
    • Develop and implement acquisition plans to engage gift prospects.

The annual salary for the Major Gift and Planned Giving Officer is $63,000+, based on experience, certifications, and education.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's Degree is required, coupled with a strong understanding of fundraising principles and best practices.
  • A fundraising certification is preferred, to demonstrate your commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Minimum of three to five years' track record of success in development/fundraising roles.
  • Must have a valid driver's license, adequate auto insurance, and be age 21 or older.
